1. Dún Aonghasa: the great ford of Dun Aengus dates from pre-Christian times and stands on the edge of a sheer sea cliff nearly 100m high overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

2. Mainistir Chiarain (Ciarans Monastery): founded by St. Ciaran in the 6th century before he founded the great monastery at Clonmacnoise.

3. Roadside monuments: dedicated to local people memorials on the roadside dating to early 19th century.

4. Seal Colony: a colony of up to 50 seals can be seen at low tide. The tour passes very close to the colony and the seals can be viewed through a telescope place on the site.

5. Seven Churches: a monastic site dating from the 11th century, when it probably was an important pilgrimage centre.
