Thomas Faherty runs his tours just as they have on the island for the past few decades in the town
of Kilronin, on Inis Mór.
After emigrating from Ireland and starting a family in the United States for a number of years, Thomas and his wife, Geraldine, decided it was time to return home. The Seacrest Bed & Breakfast was opened shortly after moving back to the island - an island on which Thomas' family has lived for 8 generations - and the Thomas began his pony & trap tours as well.
While Geraldine has created a bed & breakfast that is a warm and inviting environment for guests, Thomas works days giving tours of the island. Tours are available 7 days a week, and Thomas is well known for his fascinating stories about the island and how it has changed over time.
"But is was the kindness of Geraldine - and Thomas with his horse, Johnny, who operate one of the wagon tours - who made my stay memorable. Lovely people on a fascinating island. I hope to be back."
